Air conditioning & heating

Our rooms are equipped with Air Conditioning.
Please use the wall-mounted controller to find the right ‘feel-good’ temperature for you.
The air conditioning is centrally turned off in seasons where the outside temperature is 10 degrees celcius or lower.

Bad Weather

Even in bad weather there are many ways to spend a day in the region.
You can get ideas on our website right here and at the reception.

Bar

There is no “safe” level of alcohol consumption.
Nevertheless, there’s nothing wrong about sharing stories over one or two good drinks.
In the Lounge & Bar area we therefore offer a large selection of wines, beers, spirits and exclusive cocktails.

Bed & Co.

Our Coco-Mat beds were designed in Greece and are made exclusively of natural materials.
The same applies to our duvets and pillows. consisting of anti-allergic, environmentally friendly feathers.
Additional duvets and pillows are available on request. See our pillow menu.

Breakfast

Breakfast buffet is served daily between 07:00 and 10:30 in the restaurant.

Charging cable upon request at the reception.

Check-in / Check-out

All good things must come to an end.
At the Boutique Hotel Glacier your room is reserved for you until 11:00.
You can also ask us for a late departure until 14:00 for a CHF 30.- fee.
If the room is available, we will be happy to fulfil your request.
You are also welcome to use the changing room in the spa area and the facilities on the day of departure to freshen up before your trip.

Cosmetic Products

You will find a small selection of Rituals products in your bathroom.
They are pretty, smell good and are Ecocert certified, which means they are also environmentally friendly.

Damage & Theft

Even if Lady Gaga or Usain Bolt had trashed their room here, they’d have been charged for the damage.
The same applies to every disrespectful two- or four-legged customer.

Dogs

As dog lovers we know that there is nothing better than a holiday with your faithful companion.
The wonderful mountain world of Grindelwald with its year-round hiking possibilities is ideal for this.
Your dog can travel free on the mountain and gondola lifts and on Grindelwald’s local buses (train to Kleine Scheidegg – from there to the Jungfraujoch half price).
So we welcome your (well-behaved) dog and look forward to welcoming him/her for free!

Environment

We have taken into account all aspects of our project in terms of the environment, from the construction of intelligent rooms and the selection of energy-efficient equipment to a large number of Bio and Ecocert products.
You too can contribute to this global work by reusing your towels. However, if you need a new towel, just leave it on the floor.

Fitness & Wellbeing

As it is not always easy to stay in shape on the road, we offer you a fitness and wellness area at Glacier with cardio training equipment, crossfit equipment and space for yoga. It is open daily from 07:00 to 22:00.

Gifts

When you promise a gift to a loved one, the Glacier Boutique is full of little surprises.
With all the local products specially selected by our team and the beautiful accessories collection, you’ll find it hard to leave empty-handed.

Housekeeping

Our housekeepers are always there for you.
If you need an extra towel, pillow or similar, please let us know.
Also for extra cleaning service please contact reception.

Keys

They are completely useless outside the hotel, please do not forget to return them to us when you travel on.

Laundry

We offer you the possibility of free use of the washing machine and tumbler or we can have it delivered to your room for a small extra charge for the laundry service.

In the basement there is a self-cleaning kitchen with washing powder, ironing board and iron.
If you prefer the Glacier laundry service, please use the laundry bag provided in the room and leave it on your bed so that it can be picked up by our room service staff during your day trip.

Daily linen change upon request.

Luggage

The last thing you want is to be burdened in exploring the region.
You are welcome to store your luggage safely with us, but please note that we cannot take care of your pets.

Massage

Neck-ache, backache, headache or heartache—a massage fixes it all.
Discover our range of rejuvenating in-house spa treatments for relaxation and healing.
Massage treatments can be booked in advance at reception.

Parking

We are happy to offer you free parking right next to the hotel.
We would like to point out that the hotel is not liable for any stolen vehicles and objects left in the car.

Picnic & Cooking

We ask you to limit the consumption in the hotel to our restaurant.
Cooking or picnics in the rooms and restaurant is not allowed and can be fined CHF 150.-

Public Transportation

Directly on the other side of the road is the bus stop for line 123 which will take you to the Grindelwald ground or station and to First station.
From there you can reach various destinations by train and gondola. Grindelwald Bus.

Our reception is open daily from 07:00 to 23:00.

Restaurant

Our lounge & bar menu is available  from 12:00 to 17:00.
In the evening we welcome you at the restaurant from 18:00 to 20:30.
We recommend that you book a table in advance.
You will find our range of food and beverages on our homepage and in our restaurant.

Room Service / In-Room Dining

Here is a small selection of dishes that we deliver to your room.
Drink service from 07:00 to 23:00, food service from 07:00 to 21:00.
Room service fee 20%.

Safe

There is a small safe in each room. Please follow the instructions.
If you have valuables that you prefer to keep outside the room, contact the reception.

Smoking

The entire hotel is non-smoking. Smoking is only allowed in the designated areas!
The hotel is entitled to charge a fine of CHF 150.- for prohibited smoking.

Sleds

In winter you can rent sledges for free from us.
For further information please contact the reception.

Spa

Our spa area is located on the same floor as the restaurant and is open from 12:00. to 20:00.
Please let us know 30 minutes before use.
Please observe the sauna rules.

Ski & Bike Room

In winter for ski and ski boots and in summer for bikes, we are happy to offer you a storage room in the basement.
We ask you not to have your ski boots in your hotel and room to protect the floor.

Towels

We try to protect our environment and ask you to take care of it by reusing your bath towels.
If you need new towels, put the used ones on the floor and we will replace them daily.

Water

The water bottle in your room comes from the tap.
It is the glacier water and it is pure and delicious, try it!

We ask you to dispose of waste inside and outside the hotel in the appropriate containers.
